UK based clothing and fashion retailer; Next has been selected by the British Olympic Association to design the team and officials uniforms and also supply home furnishings and linen for the athletes' village for the London Olympics in 2012.
In all, Next will provide in excess of 5,000 sets of uniforms and suits to dress the teams, Olympic officials and organizing committee's reception staff. Lee Copper had decked up the team in the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing, China.
Next has become the 27th domestic sponsor of the 2012 London Olympics and has joined the likes of iconic brands like British Airways, Cadbury, Thomas Cook, Holiday Inn, John Lewis and Adidas as sponsors of the Olympic Games.
Commenting on the same, Executive Director of Next Plc, Christos Angelides said, “It was too good an opportunity to pass up and we look forward to helping in a small way to make the UK team look great at the Olympics and Paralympic Games”.
