New York based premier American specialty women's apparel retailer Ann Taylor Stores Corporation reported net income for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005 of $30,346,000, or $0.42 per share on a diluted basis (on an average of 72.3 million shares outstanding), compared to net income of $13,912,000, or $0.19 per share on a diluted basis (on an average of 71.6 million shares outstanding) in the third quarter of fiscal 2004.
