Aeropostale appoints Barbara Pindar SVP – Planning & Allocation

Mall-based specialty retailer of active and casual apparel company Aeropostale Inc announced that Barbara Pindar has joined Aeropostale as Senior Vice President - Planning and Allocation. Pindar will be responsible for the planning and allocation function for both Aeropostale and Jimmy'Z.
"Barb's extensive retail background and disciplined and thoughtful approach to the planning process will be an invaluable asset to organization", said Julian R. Geiger, Chairman and CEO. Pindar brings more than 25 years of retail experience to Aeropostale. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Inventory Management for the Pottery Barn brands division of Williams-Sonoma. Prior to that time, from 1986 to 2002, Pindar held various senior executive positions for Limited Brands Inc, most recently Vice President, Merchandise Planning and Analysis for Victoria's Secret Direct.
Prior to that time, from 1977-1986, Pindar held various management positions for Batus Retail and JC Penny Inc.
Aeropostale Inc is a specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting 11 to 18 year-old young women and men.
