Identify appropriate “par levels” and develop a garment rotation programs. Hoteliers should make sure staff associates have the appropriate number of garments to wear throughout the week. It is recommended that each employee maintain at minimum a total of three suit jackets, three pairs of slacks and five to seven blouses in their professional apparel wardrobe. Ensure your associates properly rotate their garments by wearing an outfit one day, and wears another the next day, regularly following that routine.

“When making the investment in an apparel program, it is important to keep garments clean and looking new each time they are worn,” added Jamie Overbey, Director of Marketing, Cintas. “By following the '8 Commandments of Garment Care,' hoteliers can ensure they are extending the life of their investment.”
