Garden Ridge appoints Bill Harmon as VP of Marketing & IT

Home accessories manufacturer Garden Ridge continued its positive sales momentum for the sixth straight month. May comp sales increased by 1% compared to the same time period last year and gross margin dollars were up 6.6%. For the fiscal year to date, comp sales are up by 5.2%.

“We expect our positive sales trend to continue, as we focus on delighting our customers on every visit they make to our store,” said Garden Ridge's new CEO Mary McNabb. Garden Ridge also named Bill Harmon as Vice President – Marketing and Information Technology. Harmon was most recently SVP Marketing at The Bon-ton Department Stores, a 139-store apparel and furniture retailer, based in York, Pennsylvania. He also served as SVP Merchandise Planning for Foley's Department Stores.

“We are thrilled to have a seasoned retail veteran like Bill join our Garden Ridge team. His many years of retail experience and customer focus will be a great asset to our entire organization,” said McNabb.

Garden Ridge, a privately held home décor retailer based in Houston, Texas, has 35 stores in 13 states. It is a crafting and home decorating retail chain. Includes store locator and employment information.
