The India National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) has called the attention of Puducherry Government to allocate more funds in the upcoming budget to improve the operations of state-owned Swadeshi Cotton mill and Sri Bharathi mill.
This resolution was embraced by the fellow members during the general council meeting of INTUC's Puducherry unit.
General Secretary of INTUC also asserted that the Government must revolutionize these two textile mills in order to create more job opportunities and facilitate production process.
An appeal has also been made to re-structure the wages of the workers employed in the mill keeping in mind the ever increasing standard of living.
