Howrah jute mill burned down to ashes

Yesterday afternoon, at 3.30 pm, huge flames engulfed the Fort William Jute Mill in Shibpur, Howrah.
Six fire engines were working on to put off the fire and it took more than four hours to control it.
According to sources from the company, mill's godown caught fire and it is expected that short circuit must have caused such a mishap and a property worth Rs 3.5 crores was destroyed.
