Moscow, the epicenter of glamour is slowing down its style.
Russians love luxurious clothes and lots of jewelry and they won't change.

The traditional Russian style is a bit complex, and Max Chernitsov, one of Moscow's hot new designers, dresses the young elite.

Max himself designs casual clothes and sportswear.
His styles are eccentric and self-aware, but above all, they are comfortable.

His recent collections include soft, printed shirt dresses for women and casual sportswear for men.

According to Valentin Yudashkin, an international sensation, Moscow has become more casual, and this trend would continue in the near future.

Valentin, who in his 20s dressed the late Raisa Gorbachev, has become the high priest of artful extravagance, and his fashion designs have at times revealed Russian soul.

There is also a trend towards simplicity and today's fashion is less cosmetic, less jewelry and more casual clothes.

Russian women have very beautiful figures and to highlight them, the best way is to wear jeans.

Presently, Gloria Jeans is one of Russia's fastest growing companies.

Clothing sale in Russia is expected to reach US $8 billion by 2009.

Another designer Denis Simachev can take some credit for bringing Russians to casual cool.

His Putin T-shirts with traditional floral borders were a big hit with Russians last year.

All casual dresses have to be sexy, as the stylish Russians won't be seen wearing the khaki shorts or Velcro sandals.
