Thai Acrylic Fibre Co Ltd (TAF), a unit of Aditya Birla group in Thailand manufacturing acrylic fibre, has announced that the company launched a new designer collection of flat knits with Radianza fibre. The new collection has been designed by Jenny Germer, a Germany based designer and is knitted by P Siam, a flat-knit company in Thailand.

“Over the last few years, Radianza has gained popularity as a sustainable product. The gel-dyeing technology behind Radianza makes it one of the most eco-friendly fibres in the world. At the same time, the range of shades that can be achieved with Radianza is unparalleled. We have developed more than 200 shades and continue to develop more and more. This new collection is a testimony to the various possibilities that Radianza offers on design and fashion,” Ashwini Chotani, chief marketing officer of TAF, said in a press release.

“I was contacted by TAF a few years ago about Radianza. It is a very interesting materials as people always think about natural resources when talk about sustainability. But the production process of Radianza actually saves a lot of natural resources during manufacturing. So I had an inspiration and collaboration working with them to design a collection with Radianza which is quite fun as they have more than 200 shades for me to play around,” Jenny Germer, a well-known flat knit designer for global brands, said.

“We have been working with various materials in flat knit products like acrylic, cotton, nylon blends, wool, etc. Many of your customers now are asking about eco-friendly materials and when TAF came to talk about Radianza, I think it is amazing how much water is saved by producing just one sweater,” Korawit Suchadapong, managing director of P Siam Knitting, said in the release.
