The 44-year-old French native Levet has a strong experience of 18 years in the sporting goods industry and in retail environment and he will be replacing Matthias Klopfenstein, the company said.

After a diploma in industrial and mechanical engineering, Levet started his professional career at Décathlon, being outdoor department manager. He then joined Salomon in 2004 and held various positions such as product line manager, brand manager outdoor & snowsports, product & commercial director. Since 2018 Denis is leading the global Salomon alpine skiing equipment business unit.

“Levet is truly passionate about sports – he describes himself as outdoor sports and kitesurf addict. We are convinced he will perfectly fit in his new role at IIC,” according to the specialty retailer. “Levet will start at IIC as of January 2022, while Klopfenstein will step back end of October 2021. The IIC team will ensure a smooth transition.”
