Garment exporter Silver Crest targets 20% rise for Theme brand

One of the leading garment exporters of the country, Silver Crest Clothing Ltd,(SCCL)is now planning to increase its domestic premium garments market share with brand, Theme.

The company's turnover presently stands at Rs 110 crore. Its domestic turnover is five percent of the total turnover.

The company is aiming for a 20 percent rise in turnover for domestic market.

The company is now planning to go for exclusive outlets to market its domestic brand, Theme, informed the marketing head of Silver Crest, R P Yadav.

SCCL contemplates opening exclusive outlets in major metros including Kolkata.

Many leading brands have such outlets, and to make inroads, exclusive showrooms for Theme are necessary.

SCCL products include jackets, trousers and suits. The strategy for domestic market is to rediscover the 1950s and 1960s.

The garments are created with infinite patience that only the creative hands of skilled craftsman bring forth, he said.

Finished goods are exported to well known brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph, Chaps, Polo Saks Inc, J C Penny, and Dockers by Silver Crest.
