Internacionale beats retail down turn & posts profits

Reporting a steady rise in the profits retail chain Internacionale that appeals to the young, low-budget fashion market shoppers, has moved in profit times while the entire industry is reporting poor financial performance.
The company posted pre tax profits up £1.4m from £1.2m on a £97 million turnover, showing a rise of 14 percent over last year.
Even the total group sales went up 16 percent to £113m, or 7 percent on a like-for-like basis. Profits before went to a record £4.2m, up 212 percent.
Founder & company Chairman Cairnduff launched his career in jewellery from a market stall and entered fashion high street in 1979 with Razzle Dazzle, followed later by The State of Independence fashion chains.
With 44 Internacionale shops and adding seven smaller homeware stores Au Naturale stores to current the existing one's, the company has a total of 150 UK stores and 2,500 employees.
