Retailers Association of India Session will explore information models that enable true trading partner collaboration

Supply chain collaboration to improve profitability will be the topic of focus at the RAI’s Retail Leadership Summit CXO dinner being held on February 4, 2014. Tony Low, Managing Director and Senior Vice President at GT Nexus Asia Pacific, will explain why many current retail supply chains in India are being held back due to models that are not scalable or sustainable.

Low will share insights into the benefits of the “networked” company, which connects all of its trading partners in a single hub and collaborates as a single network.

“India is in high growth mode. Retailers must think strategically by mapping out supply chain models suitable for both growth and profitability,” said Low. “Existing models that rely on ERP and building portals are limited in visibility and scalability. The new supply chain operates as a network.

It connects all trading partners and enables agility to respond to the changing consumer. Retailers can no longer be constrained by systems or partner lock. The need for adaptability requires an operating model that allows retailers to change as fast as the market.”
