Smart talk session dwells on energy efficiency

A smart talk session was conducted at the recently organised Premiere Vision trade show, in which representatives of Euratex, the Marzotto Group and ENEA, spoke on energy efficiency for sustainable production in the textile sector. The smart talk session was organised in collaboration between Premiere Vision and Euratex, in the framework of the SET project.
“What makes SET unique is probably the added value for companies, delivered by the software for energy monitoring, assessment and even benchmarking with competitors,” Mauro Scalia from Euratex said at the session.
The SET partners helped about 150 European companies to use the tool available in 11 languages, and at no cost for companies, due to the European Union support.
Pierluigi Fusco Girard from the Marzotto Group, quoted the huge savings achieved over the past year in chemicals, water and energy consumption in their organisation.
Marzotto applied the SET software in partnership with five companies across Europe; a collaboration across the value chain, from fibre suppliers to fabric producers up to garment makers, which helped produce in a more sustainable manner. (AR)
