Motorola and Burton rolls out Audex Bluetooth jacket series

Mobile phone maker Motorola Inc and Burton Snowboards have announced the commercial availability of the Bluetooth-enabled Audex Jacket Series.
Motorola and Burton are also expanding their global relationship with the newly formed TEAMMOTO -- a Motorola-sponsored snowboarding team comprised of Burton riders from across the globe.
TEAMMOTO consists of elite riders including Hannah Teter (USA), Luke Mitrani (USA), Marko Grilc (Slovenia), Jussi Oksanen (Finland), Tadashi Fuse (Japan), and Kazuhiro Kokubo (Japan).
Bruce Hawver, VP and Director, Companion Products Group, Motorola Inc, said, "It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the commercial availability of the Audex Jacket Series and the furthering of our relationship with Burton via the emergence of TEAMMOTO."
"The team will push our products to the limit every time they're out on the slopes. It's a great opportunity to get even more insight to the sport we are manufacturing products for and work with athletes who live and breathe something they are so passionate about," he said.
The new Audex jacket allows winter sports enthusiasts to experience seamless connectivity -- at the touch of a button -- from one environment to the next.
The product was jointly developed by Motorola and Burton to bring wearable technology to active consumers -- (1) at the center of the Audex jacket is a control panel located on the left-hand sleeve, allowing for simple and easy accessto your incoming and outgoing calls, and music selections. Connect a compatible Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone and (2) to the panel wirelessly, while hooking up your iPod(R) player via hidden, unobtrusive wires within the jacket.
