The partnership will provide ecVision customers with added value when they are looking for socially responsible suppliers in the sewn manufacturing industry. ecVision users will be able to search ecVision's Supplier Community Portal database for WRAP certified facilities, determine a factory's current WRAP certification status, initiate contact with the supplier, and begin the vetting and on-boarding process. It will also be a tool for suppliers to promote their capabilities to new buyers through ecVision's portal. As the global standard for social and environmental compliance, WRAP aims to help manufacturers demonstrate their commitment to ethical manufacturing and meet global buyers' social compliance requirements.
"Integrating WRAP certified facility data into ecVision's offerings allows us to provide our users the opportunity to rest assured they can select a compliant supplier to meet their production needs," says Gary Barraco, Senior Director of Product Marketing. "The WRAP Certified icon on a supplier profile in ecVision Suite will mean the supplier has met or exceeded the expectations of other auditing organizations and meets the tougher standards of WRAP." The WRAP Certification Program is based on 12 Principles focusing on local law and workplace regulations, generally accepted international workplace standards, and the environment. There are currently to over 1750 WRAP certified facilities in 50 different countries.
