Sawgrass Technologies announces that Ensign Emblem Corp, a leading value-added distributor of emblem printing products and services targeting the uniform rental and industrial laundry markets, is now an authorized licensee and distributor of Sawgrass' patented imaging technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ensign's Merlin emblem printing system will utilize Sawgrass' patented inkjet sublimation transfer printing method.
Sawgrass and Ensign will work together to develop a complete transfer system that meets the rigorous needs of the uniform rental and industrial laundry market.
“The Merlin system is a comprehensive turn-key solution. This alliance utilizes Sawgrass' proven heat transfer printing method and expertise with Ensign's outstanding technical and service resources to offer customers optimum performance of an entire system, not just components,” says Gayle Zreliak, President and CEO of Ensign Emblem Ltd.
Both Sawgrass and Ensign bring solid experience in delivering whole product solutions to their respective customers. As long–term players in digital emblem printing technology, the combined market experience and technology development skills of the two companies should prove to be a winning combination for their customers.
“A licensing relationship with Ensign is a natural progression for both companies. 'We've been positioning for inkjet technology's advance to a commercial platform.” says Nathan Hale, President and CEO for Sawgrass Technologies.
“Now that this is occurring, we believe it will result in new applications in this printing method for emblem production. Ensign's experience and value-added services makes them well positioned to take advantage of this growth.”
