Label Summit Asia 2006 – Bangkok

Label Summit Asia 2006, taking place 10-11 October at the InterContinental Hotel in Bangkok, has announced the participation of international and regional label industry experts, who will be presenting their key insights to a senior-level audience this autumn.

The summit has also partnered with leading associations in the region, including the Thai Printing Association, Malaysia Printers Association and the Indonesian Packaging Federation.
The conference-led event is set to attract over 400 key decision-makers from across South East Asia and beyond. The two-day conference program will comprise over 17 sessions, providing delegates with the opportunity to increase their knowledge about the Western technologies shaping the future of the industry.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Mr. Kriengkrai Thiennukul, President of the Thai Printing Association. He will focus on the region's economic growth and how the printing industry can benefit from this. He will also show how the increasing presence of global brand owners is influencing the market.

Mr. Umesh Phadke, Country Marketing Manager for Procter & Gamble, will give examples from the P&G brand portfolio and provide advice to delegates on how to build a brand through effective labeling and packaging. Mr. Hartmut Tiekenheinrich, Director of the Packaging Development Department at the international cosmetics company, Beiersdorf, will analyze the specific label requirements of the health and beauty sector. A case study from the pharmaceutical sector will be highlighted by Mr. Rahul Bhargava, Associate Director at Ranbaxy Laboratories.
