Netezza Powers Fortune 500 Retailer's Data Warehouse for Enterprise Reporting & Advanced Analytics.
Netezza the global data warehouse appliance market leader announced that Ross Stores Inc has implemented the Netezza Performance Server (NPS) data warehouse appliance as its new data warehouse platform. By moving to Netezza, Ross Stores is extending its business intelligence reporting and advanced analytics throughout merchandising, planning/allocation, finance and store operations.
Headquartered in Pleasanton, California (CA), Ross Stores is the nation's second largest off-price company, with fiscal 2005 revenues of $4.9 billion. Using Netezza's high-performance data warehouse appliance, Ross Stores is now able to run its enterprise analyses in significantly less time, cutting many query responses from hours to minutes.
