When it comes to Americans, everything should be smart – smart mobiles, smart laptops and now smart fabrics.
It's a news for everyone that Auckland based Zephyr Technology Ltd has developed smart fabrics for American army. The fabrics is used in monitoring vital signs for soldiers. The application is intended to save lives.
Speaking exclusively to Fibre2fashion, Steven F Small, Business Development Officer, informed that this fabric monitors how soldiers cope during combat situations.
When asked if the Zephyr is approached by other countries for this product, the official said the company was not comfortable to disclose such info.
Small added that the fabric is useful for athletes also as it can sharpen their skills by measuring how they react in training.
