NOW ERP from Datatex for textile management

Customer service and inventory management are the two challenges faced by every industry, especially by textile and garment.
Datatex has introduced NOW (Network Oriented World) ERP system to cope up with these challenges.
Hong Kong's Pacific Textiles and Italian yarn and fabric manufacturer Fillattice Group have decided to use Datatex's NOW ERP textile solution.
Claudio Meani, a senior official of Datatex, shares views with Fibre2fashion on the new ERP system.
The textile best-practices "from fiber to garment" are implemented on a multiplatform technology, i.e. not tied to any Hardware or Software manufacturer. The multiplatform approach is a strong market request.
Datatex completes its ERP offering with planning and scheduling tools for manufacturing. It is also implementing new solutions as Automatic Data Collection Systems.
Large ERP vendors (SAP, Oracle, etc) do not consider the textile industry's uniqueness. The textile and apparel information systems are provided by small SW house and most of them distribute their solution on a local basis.
