According to National Bureau of Statistics and China Dyestuff Industry Association, in the first half of this year, national dye exports registered 1,39,700 tons, an increase of 15.6 percent. This is 11 percentage points higher than the growth rate of same period in the previous year.
Export value reached US $447.2434 million, up 15.01 percent, setting the highest level in terms of value and growth rate respectively. However, export unit price has taken a back seat, resulting in $2.1 million loss in profit.
Export volume of disperse dyestuff realized a 6.9 percent growth. Vat dye exports showed significant rise of 22.2 percent year-on-year. Exports of indigo increased by 11.3 percent, reactive exports grew at 40.6 percent.
In the first half of the current year, China exported dyestuff to 116 countries and regions, adding three more compared to last year.
Republic of Korea, India and Taiwan occupied the top three slots of China's export chart, with export volume reaching over 10,000 tons each, thereby maintaining a double-digit growth rate.
In addition, country's dye export to Turkey, Thailand, Pakistan and Indonesia have also grown faster and realized synchronized growth in exports and effectiveness.
