In August 2007, dye industry in Zhejiang province completed output worth around 1.77 billion yuan (current price), 1.73 billion yuan of sales income, 195.3 million yuan of profits before tax, 137.2 million yuan of profits after tax and 306 million yuan of export delivery value. Dye production reached 44,521 tons, intermediates output stood at 5,565 tons and that of additives touched the 296 tons mark.
From January to August 2007, total industrial output of dye industry in the province reached about 11.43 billion yuan (current price), an increase of 30 percent as compared to same period last year. Total sales revenue stood at nearly 11.45 billion yuan, a growth of 41 percent. Total profits with tax recorded 1.13 billion yuan, a rise of 27 percent and over 795 million yuan were the accumulated profits, up 27 percent. Total export delivery value was 2.39 billion yuan, 4 percent over the corresponding period in 2006.
From January to August 2007, the industry completed 317,710 tons of various dyes, up 13 percent. Total dyes sales reached 311,368 tons, up 9 percent; of which, total dye exports were 58,737 tons, accounting for 19 percent of total sales, down 2 percent in dye exports, dye production and market rate was 98 percent.
From January to August 2007, the industry registered 33,630 tons of production dye intermediates, down 2 percent. Cumulative sales came to 33,156 tons, down 2 percent; of which, total exports were 1,945 tons, an increase of 6 percent, accounted for 6 percent in total sales, production and market rate was 99 percent.
