One of Asia’s key fashion events, Centrestage, will showcase more than 240 brands. The show to be held during September 4-7 in Hong Kong offers a platform for international, especially Asian, fashion brands and designers to promote their designs and exchange industry insights. The event is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

This year, the Centrestage Elites opening gala show will showcase the latest collections from Hong Kong fashion designer Anais Mak and New York womenswear designer Joseph Altuzarra.

The show will be preceded by a preview on August 13 at which Anais Mak will talk about the inspiration behind the designs for her latest collection. Singer/actress Heidi Lee and celebrity Ashley Lam will also share their styling tips.

Centrestage will feature more than 240 brands from around the world and some of the local designers taking part will join the preview. Collections from a number of famous brands exhibiting at the fair will be showcased at the preview’s fashion parade.

Other key events happening as part of Centrestage include the annual Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC), which this year features internationally renowned fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro as the VIP judge; the Redress Design Award, which highlights sustainability in fashion; the Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show; and Fashion Summit (HK) 2019, which will be previewed by event chairman Felix Chung during the Centrestage preview.
