LANXESS to exhibit systems solutions for textile processing at Shanghaitex

LANXESS is exhibiting its range of textile processing chemicals (TPC) at Shanghaitex in Shanghai from June 3-7, 2005. The exhibit will focus on BAYPROTECT stainblockers for carpets and floorcoverings, BAYSCENT for aromatherapy finishing of fabrics and TASTEX, a softener and function carrier for finishes based on cosmetic substances. LANXESS TPC products are used in the pretreatment and finishing of textiles as well as
in dyeing and textile printing.

We have competence centers and production facilities in all major regions of the world so we can provide efficient applications advice and support and ensure rapid delivery," says Luis López-Remón, Senior Vice President at LANXESS and responsible for the global TPC business.

LANXESS TPC has production facilities in Leverkusen (Germany), Wellford (U.S.A.), Ede (Netherlands) and Lerma (Mexico). Textile processing chemicals are also produced in facilities belonging to other LANXESS business units in Wuxi (China), Zárate (Argentina) and Madurai (India). Custom manufacturing is also used to ensure that TPC products are available
worldwide.

LANXESS markets about 1,100 textile processing chemicals. These include a full range of products for finishing carpets and floorcoverings, including dyeing and printing systems such as the TANAPRINT brand for Chromojet printing, BAYGARD protective finishes and EULAN moth and beetle-proofing agents for wool.
