The Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI) initiated by the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) is organizing 'India Initiative 2005', an exclusive 'Indian Trade Exhibition' at the 'Palace of Culture& Science' in Warsaw, Poland from 16-18 June 2005.
'India Initiative 2005' is being organized with the support & cooperation of the Indian Embassy in Poland, Embassy of Poland in India and Industry Ministry of Maharashtra.
It is being held with the objective to project India's strength as an important global player in the international market and also to create awareness in this niche market that India has yet to explore.
Indian companies at the event would be from the sectors of textiles, home furnishings, handicrafts, jewelry, steel, IT, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tea, paper products, leather, handloom, automotive parts and agricultural products.
Poland's accession to the EU in 2004 has opened up new horizons for trade and India exploits this opportunity, as Poland is centrally located in the EU.
The country has adopted EU's common customs tariff and GSP which are likely to benefit imports from India, as earlier Poland's MFN tariff rates were higher than the EU's common import tariff rates. Legal and technical modalities will be discussed at the seminars organized alongside the India Initiative 2005.
