Leading and designer brands new to the show included: industry leaders Hanes and Wacoal, the acclaimed Canadian brand Blush, and designers John Galliano, Christian Lacroix and Kenzo, among others. In addition, key returning brands, such as Ed Hardy Intimates, which debuted last season at Lingerie Americas, attracted a growing number of buyers.
Laura Ciccarello, Brand Manager, Fernando Sanchez, said, “Even having a midtown showroom (of our own) does not enable us to meet with all of our stores in person, but the convenience and timing of the Lingerie Americas show does.”
Greg Pontillo, Sales Manager, Hanes Brands, which was exhibiting for the first time, reported that Lingerie Americas is a, “great place to meet current customers and talk with prospects.”
Vinh Long, Director of Marketing, Spreegirl, said, “I enjoy the intimacy of the show. It gives me a chance to interact on a one-to-one basis with our customers in a very relaxed atmosphere.”
Aliza Reger, CEO, Janet Reger, said, “… it was really good to reconnect with my American customers again and have face to face contact with them.”
Esperanza Diaz, President of P. Jamas, reported being surprised by the many new buyers they saw this season.
And Susan DeMusis of Carol Hochman Design Group commented, “Lingerie Americas is the place to go for all your lingerie needs.”
