Following the success of the highly acclaimed inaugural event, the organisers of Dubai International Fashion Week (DIFW), Concept Events, have announced dates for the 2nd edition.
To be held from 22 to 25 October 2007 at the One&Only Royal Mirage, the pioneering trade event for the regional fashion industry will feature the spring summer 2008 collection of participating designers.
“The Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), under whose patronage the event was held, expressed their appreciation at being associated with this first of its kind initiative,” said Aldrin Fernandes, CEO, Concept Group.
“We have also had a very encouraging response from the trade and media with the event being well received.”
The 1st edition of DIFW, which was held last April, saw a mix of established and emerging talent presenting their collections to an audience of local, regional and international buyers and media.
Some notable names such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Sauce, Baco Design, Liberty, Zerga, Touch of Class, Desert Rose and Nicole Farhi marked their presence.
