Switzerland-based textile machinery manufacturer Rieter will be participating at ITMA 2023, which will be held in Fiera Milano Rho, Milan, Italy from June 8–14, 2023. The company recently took part in the Swissmem pre-ITMA 2023 press conference in Bern.

Rieter will be unveiling its key technology highlights at ITMA 2023 in Booth H1-C206. The topics the company will be focusing on at the event are Innovative Solutions Supporting Technology Leadership; Focus on Cost Per Kg Yarn: Raw Material, Energy Consumption, Automation; and System Integration through Digitisation - Recycling, the company said in its presentation at the pre-ITMA conference.

Rieter will showcase its ring spinning system for recycling at the event. The system in collaboration with a leading denim manufacturer has enabled testing adaptations along the value chain. Sample yarns were Denim Ne 7-12 with 80/20 per cent virgin cotton/post-consumer (bleached). The Rieter’s ring spinning system has helped in improving yarn quality with reduced IPIs and lower short-fibre content. The system includes settings on card, draw frame, roving, and compact spinning. The company aims to use 50 per cent share of recycling materials via its process.

Quality yarns spun on Rieter spinning systems and apparel made out of them fall under the manufacturer’s registered trademark yarn brand Com4.

SSM Textile Machinery, a subsidiary of the Rieter Group, will also be participating at ITMA 2023. SSM will be introducing its NEO-FW precision package winder, NEO-FD precision assembly winder, and Nema – SSM Digital Suite at the exhibition.
