A seminar series focused on offering and amplifying sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile industry will take place at Future Fabrics Expo from June 26–28, 2023 in London, UK. The seminar series runs parallel to the expo’s materials sourcing showcase—the largest, dedicated display of sustainably sourced and responsibly produced fabrics and innovations.

The seminars offer attendees to be part of engaging discussions on vital themes such as environmental protection, sustainability, and innovative change within the fashion industry, not-for-profit organisation The Sustainable Angle said in a press release.

The seminar series will include Nicole Rycroft and Valerie Langer from Canopy, the trailblazing NGO transforming the viscose supply chain; Sophia Kianni, founder of Climate Cardinals, who is championing the translation of climate information as the youngest UN advisor ever; Shilpa Yarlagadda of Shiffon Co, who is leveraging her jewellery brand to increase women’s access to venture capital funding; and founder Luke Haverhals from Natural Fiber Welding, a vanguard in the field of plastic-free material solutions.

The series will also feature Cyrill Gutsch, founder and CEO of Parley for the Oceans; Amy Congdon from Biofabricate, leading experts in biomaterial education; Annabelle Hutter from Santis Textiles, who introduced the world’s first 100 per cent recycled cotton; Bianca Pitt from SHE Changes Climate, championing gender inclusion in climate decision-making; and Cyndi Rhoades, founder of Worn Again Technologies and co-founder of Circle-8 Technologies, where she focuses on sorting and processing non-reusable textiles.

The opening hours for the series are 12-6 pm on June 26 and 9-6 pm on June 27–28, 2023.
