African cotton scientists touring Pak research stations

Cotton scientists from Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Benin are visiting various cotton research stations in Pakistan to share their experience during a 15-day tour and training programme that started last week. Organised by the ministry of national food security and research, the visit will include interactive sessions with Pakistani scientists.

The objective of the tour is to focus on challenges like pest attacks and cotton leaf curl virus, according to a release by the Central Cotton Research Institute (CCRI), Multan.

The scientists are scheduled to visit CCRI Multan on May 2. (DS)
