ASW2020 will present its new initiative #SHERO@ASW – a platform where women leaders from apparel sourcing industry can meet their peers, share their successes and exchange ideas that are not only related to the industry, but also to their personal growth. The session will take place on June 19 at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center.

Perhaps more than any other industry in the country, International sourcing has a large number of women at the helm, some as regional and country heads of liaison offices and others as owners of sourcing and buying operations working with international retailers/brands.

“Apparel Resources salutes these strong and motivated women in apparel sourcing for being the pioneers and for shattering stereotypes with their grit, determination, professionalism and leadership, resulting in the growth of the industry and its players, bringing in business, even in difficult times,” said the company in a press release.

The session will be hosted by Renu Mohindra - managing director of Apparel Resources. The specially designed session will be giving women professionals from the industry an opportunity like never before to be acknowledged for their role in enhancing business; to share their professional journey with other industry members, network with like-minded women leaders and exchange thoughts that matter!

Conceived and organised by Apparel Resources, ASW2020 is India's premium sourcing show, featuring a selective portfolio of over 80 top apparel and textile manufacturers from Asia; 25 sessions on the future of manufacturing, retail, technology and sourcing; a full cycle of conferences, inspirational spaces and insightful workshops, planned comprehensively by Apparel Resources and ASW teams in association with global leaders like TrendWatching, Technopak, WGSN, etc. The event's primary focus continues to be on sourcing, knowledge, inspiration and networking.
