Barmag & Neumag to represent Oerlikon at ITMA 2015

The Manmade Fibres segment of Switzerland based Oerlikon Group will be represented by its two brands, Oerlikon Barmag and Oerlikon Neumag at ITMA 2015 in hall 4, booth A 105.

“In a market that is proving to be increasingly difficult, we will set new trends with our innovations and once again change the markets”, head of marketing André Wissenberg said.

“In addition to inking a joint venture with Chinese partner Huitong for expansion of polycondensation business, the segment will focus on offering total manmade fibre spinning systems solutions,” it informed.

“From Melt to Yarn to Fibres and Nonwovens' is our maxim,” Wissenberg added in an Oerlikon Group press release.

“Currently, we are the world's only manufacturer that has the knowhow and the capacities to offer complex manmade fibre spinning systems for polyester, nylon and polypropylene from a single source,” he informed.

Furthermore, Oerlikon Barmag will be showcasing ground-breaking innovations in the areas of POY/DTY, FDY and IDY filament spinning and texturing as well as the manufacture of monofilaments.

According to the Group, here, the focus is on further new product developments and optimisations in line with the Oerlikon e-save philosophy, which promotes the manufacture of products oriented on sustainability.

Oerlikon Neumag will concentrate on its BCF, staple fibre and nonwovens by showing visitors the latest product developments by means of its virtual reality technology in the 3D showrooms.

In line with the key themes of ITMA 2015, the Summit's program is being developed to explore a series of topics that link decisions on sustainability to profitability and corporate success.

On November 16, 2015, EDANA and ITMA 2015 organiser MP Expositions will jointly host a Nonwovens Forum.

The program will feature topics relating to global industry trends, opportunities and challenges, as well as production technologies and management.

Oerlikon Neumag will talk about its innovations in spunbond lines for technical applications and on polymer and technology trends as well as growth expectations for technical applications.

They will also present a case study titled 'Bitumen roofing substrate and geotextiles meeting market requirements'. (AR)
