Belarusian petrochem firms sign contracts with Russia
Belarus recently signed contracts worth nearly RUB 12 billion for delivering petrochemical products to Russia during the fifth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev. Several other contracts worth RUB 1.3 billion were signed with Russian firms in the run-up to the forum. Belarusian firm Belneftekhim-ROS signed contracts worth over RUB 6 billion.

Belneftekhim, the top distributor of Belarusian petrochemical products in Russia, signed contracts to deliver polyester textile yarns, high-pressure polyethylene, polyamide-6, phthalic anhydride, automobile tires for various purposes, alkyd resins and other products, according to a Belarusian news agency.

Russian regions will also get polyester fibre and technical yarn made by Mogilevkhimvolokno, which signed contracts worth RUB 5.6 billion.

In 2017, Belneftekhim's trade with Russian companies totalled $7.7 billion, 38 per cent higher from 2016 figures. In January-August 2018, the trade turnover rose by 32 per cent to $6.4 billion. (DS)
