Benzene prices in US slip last week

US recorded decrease in benzene prices in the past week due to poor cues from the Asian and European regions.
During the prior week, average benzene prices in the US lowered to 285 cents/gallon as against 290 cents/gallon in the week before, a drop of 1.72 per cent.
The average prices of benzene prices in Europe weakened by US$ 5/ton in the last week owing to weak buying trend in the region and were traded at US$ 855/ton in comparison to US$ 860/ton in the preceding week.
