Bpifrance keen on joint textile projects in Uzbekistan

France’s State Investment Bank Bpifrance has expressed interest to invest in joint textile projects in Uzbekistan. The bank’s regional director Emmanuel Breschard conveyed the interest during a recent visit of a Bpifrance delegation to Tashkent. Both sides discussed the supply of French technologies and equipment to the Uzbek market in particular.

The French side noted the economic achievements of Uzbekistan in recent years, the ongoing political reforms, improvement in the business climate and its investment attractiveness, according to a report in an Uzbek daily.

Preliminary agreements were reached to attract major French companies and financial institutions to implement such projects. (DS)
