The Canadian Apparel Federation has announced that it will host the second Apparel & Fashion Career Fair and Expo at the Toronto Reference Library’s beautiful Bram & Bluma Appel Salon, on March 10, 2020. With support from the City of Toronto, the Apparel & Fashion Career Fair and Expo will connect Canada’s top fashion employers with prospective employees.

This year, the Canadian Apparel Federation is planning for a larger event, building on the success of its sister organisation, Apparel Quebec, who hold a similar event targeting Quebec employers annually in Montreal. With weeks to go until the big day, they already have over 300 registrations from qualified job seekers across Ontario, according to a press release by the Canadian Apparel Federation.

As Canada’s apparel industry evolves and grows, employers in today’s market are blending tradition with innovation by seeking new hires armed with skills in business and communication, social media, digital marketing, industrial, graphic, and fashion design, engineering, e-commerce, and more. This presents an opportunity for those who are entering the industry for the first time to put their skills to the test in new and innovative ways. It is also a perfect space for budding entrepreneurs and small businesses to network with top industry leaders and innovators such as Knix Canada, Cobmex Apparel, Powerhouse Retail Services, Wuxly Movement, Avid Apparel, and more.

There will be a series of free on-site seminars on the day of the event, focused on topical issues such as sustainability, future industry skills and the forecast for the rapidly evolving fashion industry. This is an exclusive opportunity for attendees to learn about today’s most critical issues from some of the biggest names in the industry.

“The Apparel & Fashion Career Fair and Expo is a day that offers an opportunity for job seekers to personally connect with, and impress Ontario’s leading fashion and apparel designers, manufacturers, and retailers,” Danielle Kuczer, event director and wage subsidy programme manager at the Canadian Apparel Federation said.
