China's basic textile machinery research needs improvement

Basic research for textile machinery, like those involving the quality of raw material and machinery components, needs improvement and the innovation level requires further enhancement, according to Gu Ping, vice president of the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA). Some products, for example in the printing sector, have achieved a high-level of innovation.

Machinery companies in China have also adopted more eco-friendly production technologies, Gu told Fibre2Fashion in an interview. (DS)
