The country’s Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilisers targets exports worth $9 billion by the end of the year, as per media reports.
The council anticipates a growth rate averaging 10 per cent in the sector.
The council is focusing on expanding the sector's presence in new markets, both regionally and internationally, throughout this year.
Key target markets include Africa, Latin America, Europe and several Arab countries.
