The company is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' National Public Service Projects Organisation.
The new complex, built over nearly 30 months, aims at exploiting the full value of Egyptian cotton and to avoid exporting it in raw form, according to Egyptian media reports..
The project, in its first stage, will offer direct jobs to 1,350 and indirect jobs to 12,000.
El-Sisi said that the government has embarked on the execution of an ambitious plan to develop the country's textile industry, which involves replacement of factories over the next two years.
