Epson launched its new SureColor F2160 direct-to-garment printer at the recently held Visual Impact show in Brisbane, Australia. The new printer is capable of making full colour prints on items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts and tote bags. It also incorporates a host of enhancements with easier job set-up, faster loading, and faster printing.
The new SureColor SC-F2160 considerably raises the productivity bar while enhancing output quality and reducing running costs. The printer features new print modes for improved imaging with reduced graininess and an enhanced gamut. The SureColor SC-F2160 provides a complete Epson solution including printer, printhead, ink, and software, so all parts have been designed to work together, and are protected by a comprehensive single-source warranty, said the company in a press release.
Epson also showcased the new SureColor F9360 wide-format textile printer designed to deliver high quality digital dye-sublimation transfers at extremely high speed for a range of textile and apparel applications. This clever 64-inch printer not only delivers outstanding image quality but also production speeds of up to 93 m2/hr. It features an integrated new fabric wiping system coupled with a highly accurate roll-to-roll media support system to handle economical lightweight transfer papers. The SureColor F9360 is also the proud winner of the 2017 SGIA Product of the Year Award in the ‘Roll-to-Roll Dye Sublimation on Textile’ category. (KD)
