Fulgar to highlight Evo at Ispo 2016

At Ispo 2016, Fulgar, an Italian producer of polyamide 6.6 fibres will be highlighting Evo by Fulgar, which is made of a biopolymer entirely derived from castor beans.

“Evo by Fulgar is ultra-light, super stretch and extremely breathable as well as it is also quick-drying and offers natural thermal and bacteriostatic properties, ensuring maximum comfort,” a Fulgar press release stated.

“Thanks to its distinctive values and benefits, Evo by Fulgar represents right a synthesis of performance and environmental sustainability and adopted by companies like F.O.V. and Sofileta that are exhibiting at Ispo,” it added.

F.O.V., a Swedish producer of woven fabric and specialising in high-tech fabrics production will launch at Ispo 2016 its new collection.

It will be showing four innovative fabrics made from Evo by Fulgar, which have been developed by F.O.V. internal designers and engineers.

“Due to its innovative approach, one of the new F.O.V. fabrics has been selected for Ispo Textrend 2016 Award,” the press release informed.

According to Fulgar, specialised in the design, development and production of technical textiles, offering a wide range of knitted fabrics, Sofileta always invests in innovative projects.

At Ispo 2016, Sofileta will present three new fabrics produced through their internal sustainable eco-dyeing process and made using Evo by Fulgar fibre.

One of the fabrics, ES15/3/25 is a very light jacquard pique for top without spandex; the ES15/3/41 is a medium weight fabric for top or bottom stretch, while the ES14/3/21 is ideal for pants.

“These fabrics are ideal for applications in running, skiwear, bikewear and football as they combine unique performance and true respect for nature,” Fulgar observed.

Fulgar is a producer of polyamide 6.6 and covered elastomers for the textile and technical sectors and has Europe's largest nylon 6.6 yarn plant.

In 2009, Fulgar became an official partner of Invista, owner of the Lycra brand, for exclusive distribution in Europe and Turkey of Lycra, Lycra T400 and Elaspan fibre brands.

In 2012, Fulgar also became exclusive distributor and producer of Emana fibre, owned by the Rhodia-Solvay group, for Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. (AR)
