Germany-based Autefa Solutions, a leading supplier of machines and systems for the nonwoven industry, will showcase its solutions and expertise in advanced materials, digital future, innovative technologies, and sustainability at ITMA 2023 in Milan, Italy from June 8-14, 2023.

At ITMA 2023, the company will present its sustainable solutions, including its Airlay technology, which delivers heavy and thick fibre mats using natural or recycled fibre for the growing acoustic and thermal insulation market. Its energy-saving Spunlace technology maximises efficiency while minimising energy consumption, Autefa Solutions said in a press release.

The textile industry faces many challenges, including the need to reduce its carbon footprint and improve sustainability. Autefa Solutions is committed to reducing waste and energy consumption with its innovations and technologies that are designed to minimise environmental impact.

The company offers machines and systems for nonwovens technology, baling technology, woollen/worsted technology, and automation technology. Its advanced technology includes carded-crosslapped needle punch lines, aerodynamic web forming technology, thermobonding lines, and spunlace lines.

Autefa Solutions also delivers solutions to address the industry’s changing workforce and the need for more skilled personnel and talent to operate and maintain complex machinery. Digitalisation and automation are transforming the industry, and Autefa Solutions invests in new technologies to keep up with the pace of change.

The company’s innovative solutions are not only good for business but also good for the environment. With the increasing demand for textile circularity in the fashion industry, Autefa Solutions offers a range of innovative solutions designed to process and reuse various types of fibres, including reclaimed, natural, and man-made materials.

One of the company’s latest innovations is the Needle Exchanger, an automated machine that replaces the physically tiring and risky manual process of needle insertion, exchange, and removal in needle punching nonwovens production. The Needle Exchanger eliminates the risk of operator injury and minimises the risk of board damage. The machine provides a great return on investment and is the most economic service machine for needle exchange in nonwovens production.

Autefa Solutions has also collaborated with Pama Paper Machinery to combine nonwovens technology with Wetlaid technology commonly used in the paper industry. The Wetlaid-Spunlace technology produces sustainable and cost-effective nonwovens from 100 per cent cellulosic raw material such as cellulose pulp, viscose, or Lyocell fibres. This collaboration provides the machine technology to produce sustainable and biodegradable products for a world with less plastic.

By offering sustainable solutions that address the industry’s challenges, Autefa Solutions can help customers take their production to the next level while contributing to a more sustainable future for the textile industry, the release added.

Autefa Solutions invests in research and development and the expansion of its worldwide manufacturing facilities to provide innovative and high-performance machines and systems that meet the evolving needs of its customers around the world.
