This year's '30 Under 30' cohort was selected by the editors of Greenbiz, a leading source for sustainable business news, in collaboration with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, based on a global search for emerging leaders who are shaping the next generation of sustainable business. These honorees work across sectors for large and small companies, media, academe and the nonprofit sector, addressing the world's most pressing environmental and social challenges effectively and profitably.
"When I started in this space, especially in India, there wasn’t a defined role in sustainability in the textile sector. The role of corporate sustainability professionals to spearhead change while being in the system is a key to long term and scalable impact. Sustainability these days is not only limited activists and environmentalists," said Mane who works with the global fashion retailer C&A to implement its sustainable chemicals strategy in the supply chain in India and Sri Lanka.
Mane had also made to the '25 Under 25 Global Sustainability Professionals' list back in 2014. (RR)
