Huge interest of fashion, retail sectors in We Are SpinDye

Despite Europe’s position as the major market in the past and future for Swedish fashion tech firm We Are SpinDye, both China and the United States are showing great potential, according to chief executive officer Andreas Andrén, who said its strong presence in the sports and outdoor market is gradually opening the door to the fashion and retail sector.

“Regarding applications, until now we have been very strong in the sports and outdoor market with brands like Fjällräven and Quiksilver using our technology. I believe the sector has been slightly more mature for low impact technologies. But we currently see a huge interest coming from the fashion and retail sectors, which I believe will be a very important market for us,” Andrén told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.

We Are SpinDye is an ingredient brand that offers a technically innovative colour system for sustainable polyester yarns and fabrics.
