IKEA India opens first 'Hej HOME' in Hyderabad

Swedish home furnishing major IKEA recently launched its first experiential centre 'IKEA Hej HOME'in Hyderabad ahead of opening its first store there in spring 2018. For six months, the centre will familiarise customers with IKEA home furnishing solutions and acquaint them with the IKEA store concept. The company plans to open 25 stores in India by 2025.
After the Hyderabad store, the second store will come up in Mumbai in 2019, followed by Bengaluru and Delhi National Capital Region. IKEA plans to bring Hej HOME to the other cities where it will open stores, according to a news agency report.
The Hyderabad Hej Home also showcases the IKEA food offer and room settings to suit Hyderabadi families, especially those living with children. About 1,000 products at the upcoming Hyderabad store will be priced below Rs 200. (DS)
