With presence of 1,050 exhibitors from 38 countries, spread over 17 chapters and 11 exhibiting halls, the exhibition will see 24 product launches, organisers said. This once in 4 year mega event, will take place from December 3-8, 2016 in Mumbai.
The six-day textile engineering exhibition will have a strong presence and participation from the Central and state governments. Gujarat and Karnataka—two key states having strong presence in textile industry—are participating in the event as state partners.

India being one of the emerging economies, the demand for textile machinery is growing. The growth of industry is based on increasing demand of textile and apparel market in India. The textile sector is one of the largest contributors to India's exports accounting for approximately 11 per cent of total exports. India's overall textile exports during FY 2015-2016 stood at $40 billion and the industry is expected to reach $223 billion by 2021. (RKS)
