Karachi University’s (KU) department of chemical engineering and the National Textile University’s Karachi campus recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote research and development. Students and researchers of both organisations would be able to learn from the experiences of each other in the field of polymer and textiles.

As per the MoU, KU’s chemical engineering department will provide research projects, while Faisalabad-based NTU’s faculty and students in the Karachi campus would work on those. The KU department would also offer internship programs to NTU students that would be co-supervised by both institutions, according to Pakistani media reports.

The KU department would facilitate industrial visits of students for their exposure while both parties would provide technical support and assistance to each other in potential areas. (DS)
