Kingpins Transformers is all set to partner with ZDHC to drive more sustainable chemistry and accelerate innovations to improve environmental performance in the denim industry. The collaboration will advance the textile, leather and footwear industry towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals and will focus on the specific needs of the denim value chain.

“All of us believe in the need to establish unified industry standards – such as ZDHC’s Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) and Wastewater Guidelines and we will all work diligently to create those as an internationally accepted standard," said Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Transformers.

Since its debut in 2015, Kingpins Transformers – the bi-annual summit series – has focused on advocating for innovation in the denim industry to make it more environmentally viable, socially responsible and financially sound. The Transformers were developed by Kingpins Show organisers in collaboration with House of Denim. (RR)
