The London Textile Fair (TLTF) 2019 July edition is set to focus on Autumn/Winter 2020 pre-collections. With more than 500 exhibitors, TLTF is the UK’s premier platform for fashion fabrics, clothing accessories, print studios, and vintage garments. The leading textile trade fair will be held on July 16-17, 2019, at the business design centre, in London.

TLTF is a regular event for all British buyers, with increasing presence of buyers travelling from France, Germany, Italy, Northern Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. Around 500 exhibitors are expected at the event, with more than 700 collections for fashion fabrics, accessories, and trims, print designs, and vintage garments. Within the fashion fabrics hall, there is a leading presence from Italy and Turkey together covering more than 50 per cent of the exhibiting space, followed by UK 17 per cent, Portugal 11 per cent, France 8 per cent, Spain 4 per cent, Germany 2 per cent, and others 4 per cent, according to a press release on the show.

Around 2 per cent of the exhibitors within the fashion fabrics hall will present fabrics for womenswear main market, 45 per cent for menswear, and 34 per cent for childrenswear. An increase of sportswear, technical, and swimwear which together present the 33 per cent of the textile exhibitors, will be recorded.

After the success of January 2019, the Sustainable Trend Forum will host a larger number of collections in July. The forum aims to educate and inspire visitors, in line with the industry trends which see environmental and social matters becoming a priority for an increasing number of companies. Products listed under the forum are from natural fibres (like hemp, linen or wool) to organic cotton, recycled fabrics (wool, polyester, leather) and sustainable dyed and finished products.

Texfusion – New York is hosting its second edition after the successful launch in January 2019. The show presents textiles and accessories collections from around 60 exhibitors travelling from Italy, United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Portugal, Ireland, China, Hong Kong, and more. The venues location is of extreme importance for the show’s success. The Penn Plaza Pavilion is in central Manhattan, in front of Penn Station within the Garment District, and walking distance from the famous high street and city landmarks. With plenty of natural light, the Penn Plaza is the perfect place to source for international textiles manufacturers. A new hall dedicated to print design will be launched in July, adding value to the already wide selection of products. (GK)
